Our Vineyards

We practice organic and Biodynamic farming
and worked mostly manually.

Drawing inspiration from the passions of great producers in Montalcino and Piemonte drives us to put forth a wine that is pure and representative of the complexities within our red decomposed granitic terroir and our chosen varieties.

At Ramiiisol, we focus on two ancient noble grapes, Cabernet Franc and Nebbiolo. Cabernet Franc is the mainstay red variety of the Loire Valley and is one of the 3 most important grapes in Bordeaux. Cabernet Franc has long proven its hardiness throughout the Monticello AVA and has been farmed in our vineyard since 2000. Nebbiolo, the noble red has been vinified in the Piemonte region since at least the 1200s and more recently, has also found a comfortable home in very select pockets of the Monticello AVA, including Ramiiisol. Our single white variety, Chardonnay, is the most planted varietal in Virginia and is the great white of Burgundy.
